Primary School Mathematics Topics and the Mathematics Stickers to Match.
Next to the reading and writing topics, mathematics is arguably the most important
element of the primary school curriculum's learning outcomes. As with reading and
writing, basic mathematics skills are an important requirement for everyday living.
In particular, it is the fundamental mathematics techniques: those learned at the primary
school level, that seem to be of most use to us in the 'real world'. Sure, there are
certainly many professions out there that deal heavily in upper-school calculus
and complex graphing skills, but for day-to-day use it is the simple tenets of
basic multiplication, addition, measurement, percentages and geometry that most
people rely on. Try getting a basic sales job if you can not add up ... there may
not always be a calculator available.
At Concept Stickers and Cards, we consider mathematics to be an important aspect
of the primary school teaching curriculum and, in support of this vital area of primary school

Problem-solving mathematics exercises are important because they are a true indicator
of how much the student actually understands the basic mathematics principles (point 1, above)
that they have been studying up to this point. We have included problem solving
as its own special sticker.
